In the holiday spirit, we wanted to spend the Season of Giving showcasing some of the charities we’ve worked with throughout the year to help the community. At AppLovin, we believe that when our communities succeed, so do we. With the AppLovin Cares program we are committed to giving back through donating and through volunteer hours and grants.
Today, we’re highlighting some charitable organizations we’ve partnered with and sharing more details about our journey together. We’re also providing information so you can donate to them and make a significant and lasting impact not only during the Holiday season, but also in the year ahead.
RiseUp Malawi
RiseUp Malawi provides educational opportunities to children and their families in rural Malawi. They do this primarily through after-school learning, scholarships, and farming training. Together with AppLovin Cares, they built a community center (the first of its kind for the 22,000 people in the six villages they serve) where 200 children now have after-school learning opportunities.
AppLovin Cares helped the organization equip the center with solar power so it is no longer dependent on the unstable electrical grid in Malawi which leaves whole areas without power at least one day a week. RiseUp Malawi dedicated 2022 to investing specifically in girls’ and women’s education. To get involved or donate, please visit riseupmalawi.org, or connect with the organization on social @riseup_malawi.
Mid-Peninsula Boys & Girls Club
The Mid-Peninsula Boys & Girls Club (MPBGC) serves San Mateo, California and surrounding areas. The organization provides high quality, low-cost after-school programs with a mission of cultivating caring, responsible, and productive citizens ready to engage in their local communities. Teaming up with AppLovin Cares has allowed MPBGC to expose local youth, especially girls, to STEAM and implement a Girls Who Code program, as well as a Science Action Club.
In addition to current programs, MPBGC is working on connecting youths with professionals in the STEAM field in order to inspire members to continue learning and expose them to different career paths. You can help MPBGC continue its STEAM programs by donating at midpenbgc.org.
American Red Cross
The American Red Cross’ mission is to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. AppLovin Cares is a proud Red Cross Ready 365 partner, supporting Disaster Response Relief 365 days a year.
The Red Cross must have critical systems and supplies in place before the first emergency shelter is opened, before the first volunteer arrives, and before the first meal is served. The pre-investment provided by Ready 365 partners ensures the organization is prepared to meet the urgent needs of people affected by disasters big and small, anytime and anywhere across the U.S.

Minds Matter San Francisco
Minds Matter San Francisco (MMSF) is an education nonprofit that connects driven and determined students from low-income families with the people, preparation, and possibilities to succeed in college, create their future, and change the world.
Since 2019, Minds Matter San Francisco (MMSF) has partnered with AppLovin Cares to address the systemic exclusion of talented low-income students from careers in competitive fields. Specifically, AppLovin Cares’ financial contributions over the past three years have enabled 30 high school sophomores to experience weekly mentorship and funding for coursework and immersive summer learning programs where they can explore career pathways in fields including engineering, design, visual arts, and communications.
MMSF is currently in the midst of a Holiday Giving Campaign called “Raising Minds.” Their fundraising goal is $125,000 to support their programs and services.

Open Door Legal
Open Door Legal’s mission is to dramatically reduce poverty by providing free access to excellent legal help, starting in San Francisco’s low-income communities of color.
The partnership with AppLovin Cares has enabled the organization to fully cover 15 cases for families in San Francisco. These are often life-changing undertakings, helping families stay housed, helping survivors safely leave abusive relationships, and helping workers get paid the wages they are owed — among other things.
Currently, Open Door Legal works on Vision Zero Displacement, an initiative that ensures that no one in the community loses their home due to Covid. To learn more and to donate, visit www.opendoorlegal.org.
WildCare
WildCare delivers world-class medical care in an open admission wildlife hospital, together with exceptional environmental education, community engagement, and effective advocacy for the protection of wildlife and the shared habitat.
WildCare partnered with AppLovin Cares to make sure that their wildlife hospital has the resources it needs (medication, surgical equipment, medical supplies, equipment, caging) to help the organization care for over 3,500 ill, injured, and orphaned animals every single year.

Casa de las Madres
Casa de las Madres responds to calls for help from domestic violence victims and provides survivors with the tools to transform their lives. This last year, with AppLovin’s support, they empowered 13,000 people across the San Francisco Bay Area to end abuse and support to sustain an essential safety nest for women, teens, and children who needed help. If you’d like to learn more about how you can stop domestic violence or make a donation, make sure to visit www.lacasa.org.
