We’re entering the home stretch as we prepare for the Apple TV App Challenge — roughly 3 weeks to go!
Today, we’re excited to announce our latest partner in the Challenge, Riffsy. Riffsy is the top dowloaded GIF-sharing app on iOS and Android and has partnerships with Facebook Messenger, Twitter, Kik, LinkedIn and more, successfully driving the daily use of GIFs by its users. Riffsy will provide its API and expertise to participants during the tvOS Hackathon on April 16 so they can build TV apps to help people communicate in thoughtful and fun new ways, express themselves with efficiency and ease, share their emotions, and send in-the-moment reactions to trending events.
Riffsy CEO David McIntosh will judge the tvOS Hackathon, and Riffsy will also send three mentors to the event. Riffsy will also sponsor a special prize for the hack with the best Riffsy integration — stay tuned for more information on that.
We are also proud to announce our latest addition to our panel of judges for the Hackathon, Amanda Folson, developer advocate at GitLab! GitLab is an open source git repository management tool with fine grained access controls, code reviews, issue tracking, activity feeds, wikis, continuous integration, and more. We are excited to have someone with Amanda’s expertise on our panel of Hackathon judges.
And just wait until you see the prize GitLab has lined up!
Haven’t registered yet? It’s not too late! See you in April.
