Merchant
What is a merchant?
In the context of affiliate marketing, a “merchant” refers to the company, individual, or organization that offers a product or service and creates an affiliate campaign for that product or service. The merchant seeks to leverage affiliates to promote their offerings to a broader audience in exchange for a commission on sales or specific actions (like sign-ups).
Why are merchants important?
Merchants are the entities that provide the product or service being promoted and pays commissions to affiliates for driving traffic, sales, or other desired outcomes. They ultimately offer products and/or service to the affiliate’s audience that will benefit them, as well as provide passive income opportunities for affiliates in their affiliate marketing efforts.
